This private residence was designed to combine old-world craftsmanship with modern planning and convenience. Travertine, marble and onyx, hand-finished plaster, and dark mahogany wood were selected for their classic, timeless character and used to provide a backdrop for the imposing capitol view, antique lighting fixtures and the owner’s art collection.

At the entry, the hand-carved Hindu temple grille contrasts beautifully with the sweeping curved travertine wall.  The opposing curved hand-finished plaster wall gently guides visitors toward the “million-dollar” view and contains the state-of-the-art kitchen.

The master suite features a custom-designed carved plaster headboard, full wall of built-in wardrobes, and a spa-like master bath.  Full-height mirrors, glass tile, backlit onyx panel and antique chandelier cloak the walk-in shower and sculptural tub in luxury.
